A large red mushroom was destroyed first and then it refused to load the next. It just stays stuck and plays the mushroom defeat music. I tried closing the app and I tried reinstalling but nothing will work. I’ve attached a screenshot showing where it is stuck.

I have the same issue and my game is stuck no matter what I do, and my partner did too but reinstalling worked for him.
I suspect it has something to do with the mushroom/flower locations updating because we now have a few additional features in our area (that I learned about only because his game was able to work again).

Mine has let me see another mushroom finish now, just waiting for the final one. I completely forgot about the changes, so that’s potentially what it is.

I turned my location off and it got the second one to work. Turns out both of the mushrooms had been removed/changed.

I’m having a different issue. Every time I go to the expedition page my game freezes.
Hello @jonathandcarden . Welcome to the community forum. It seems that the issue you are experiencing is related to the The game crashes when you tap the expedition tab on the home screen post under Known Issues.
Same issue, just after I open the game it tries to load the mushroom animstion but it got stuck on that screen. Niantic Forum suggest to clear memory and leave the game tunning alone but that’s not workig.
I play on a vivo x80 pro and have everything updsted. I even tries to uninstall and reinstall the game.
Another friend playing on a sony expedida xz premium is not having this issue
