Since April 22, I noticed that there are more mushroom spots, which is a good change in itself. However, these are not actually new spots—they were converted from previous large flower locations.
Before this change, I could use petals and choose my favorite Pikmin to send for postcards. I even exchanged 10 postcards from the National Concert Hall in Taipei and gave them to my close friends, including friends from abroad. That was one of my favorite parts of playing this game.
Now, these locations have become highly competitive mushroom spots. Not only are they very difficult to access, but there is also no time to carefully choose which Pikmin to send in order to get postcards I like.
Because of this, I feel really disappointed and sad, and I’ve lost a lot of the enjoyment I used to have in the game.
I sincerely hope you can reconsider this change or provide a way for players to still enjoy collecting and sharing postcards in a more accessible way.
That is very disappointing! Maybe the intent is to let us use petals to get postcards from mushrooms in the same way as big flowers eventually. I totally agree with you though, I love using petals to get postcards, especially for friends. You are so limited with mushroom battles to get postcards. If I go on vacation I’m limited 3 mushroom battles and maybe there’s a cool postcard, but I don’t want to battle a small mushroom for it! If I could use petals at mushroom locations to collect more postcards that would be so nice.

Yes exactly… it’s not just about collecting, it’s about choosing and sharing meaningful postcards with friends.
That was what made the game special to me.
Now it feels stressful instead of fun.
I really like the mix of mushroom battles and petals. But I understand your point of view too. I’m sad there are only a few way spots compared to Pokémon Go and there is no way to get more of them. I think if there would be more spots there would be more chances to get pretty postcards.
Also, I like the recently added feature where Pikmin will bring back postcards when retrieving decor. BUT they will not bring a postcard if you already have all the postcards in the area. I would really love it if they had an option where they could bring them if you already have those locations. Even if I favorite them I won’t get anymore from the area. So I will never get new postcards from some places because I’m afraid if I send the one I have away I won’t get another. I know a lot of people don’t like postcards so there really should be a way to customize your experience. You should be able to turn off postcards from mushrooms and from friends, like you can gifts (who really uses that?). You should also be able to allow duplicate postcards from the same location OR favorited postcards don’t count as having a postcard from that location.
