Hello Pikmin Community and Niantic Team,
I would like to share a small story about Pikmin and my 7-year-old daughter.
My daughter absolutely loves Pikmin. Recently, she entered her very first drawing competition and decided to include her favorite Pikmin characters in her artwork, combining them with delicious bowls of udon noodles.
Among more than 1,000 entries, her drawing was selected as one of the Top 30 finalists and advanced to the public voting stage. During the voting period, it even reached second place and received support from many people.
Later, due to intellectual property considerations of the commercial competition, the artwork was unable to continue. While she felt disappointed, I still wanted to share her drawing because it was created entirely from her love for Pikmin.
One day I asked her:
“Which Pikmin is your favorite?”
She answered:
“My favorite is Winged Pikmin because she is like a fairy, flying freely wherever she wants.”
That answer touched my heart. To a child, Pikmin are more than game characters. They are friends who inspire imagination, creativity, and joy.
Thank you to everyone who helped create the world of Pikmin. It has brought happiness and inspiration to our family in ways that go far beyond a game. I would like to share my daughter’s artwork with fellow Pikmin fans and with the team who created the characters she loves so much.
