I think it would be helpful to be able to (kindly) decline mushroom invites if I’ve already used my tries for the day. Then the person who invited me knows they should use that invite towards someone else who might still have tries.

Has anyone from Niantic responded to this? I recommend adding a Decline button to mushroom battle invitations. After a player has completed all three battles, they may continue receiving invitations from friends but have no way to indicate that they are unavailable or do not plan to participate.
A Decline button would allow the invited player to promptly notify the sender that they will not be joining. The invitation could then be withdrawn or released, allowing the sender to invite another player who may be available. This would reduce uncertainty, prevent invitations from being unnecessarily tied up, and make it easier for players to organize mushroom battles.
The button could provide a simple response such as:
“This player has declined the mushroom battle invitation.”
An optional reason could also be included, such as:
- Daily mushroom battles completed
- No battle pass available
- Unable to participate
This feature would improve communication between players while preserving the limited number of invitations available to the person organizing the battle.
