Enhancing Cultural Diversity: Proposal for Korean-themed Decor Pikmin

Dear Niantic Support Team,

I am a dedicated player of Pikmin Bloom based in South Korea. First, I would like to thank you for your continuous efforts to make our daily walks more magical through various events and Decor Pikmin.

I have noticed that recent events, such as the Lunar New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival, have introduced many items inspired by Chinese culture, such as Mooncakes and Mahjong tiles. While these are culturally significant, many players in the Korean community feel that Korean heritage is currently underrepresented, despite South Korea being one of the most active and passionate markets for Pikmin Bloom.

Given the immense global popularity of K-Culture, I would like to suggest incorporating Korean-themed Decor to celebrate cultural diversity and provide fresh content for global users:

  1. Hanbok (Korean Traditional Clothing): Items like the “Gat” (traditional hat) or the elegant lines of the Hanbok would be visually stunning and popular worldwide.

  2. K-Desserts: Instead of Mooncakes, adding “Yakgwa” (honey cookies) or “Songpyeon” (half-moon rice cakes) would be a fantastic way to celebrate seasonal festivals.

  3. Traditional Games: Items based on “Yut-nori” or “Jegichagi” would perfectly suit the cute and playful aesthetic of Pikmin.

Introducing Korean content would not only resonate deeply with the local community but also offer global players a chance to discover the unique beauty of Korea. I believe this inclusivity would greatly enhance the long-term appeal of the game.

Thank you for your time and for considering this feedback from the Korean community. We look forward to seeing more diverse cultures represented in our walks!

Best regards,

Bom
