I started planting morning glories for a challenge, saw them start planting, walked 750 metres and used up 50 petals but it only planted 51 flowers. It’s a route I do all the time that plants hundreds of flowers. Now I’m short petals for the challenge that should have completed it.

Today I had the same problem. No flowers planted, petals going down, percentage for hedging seedlings only 10 %.
Restarting my phone, logging out and in and even reinstalling the app, didn’t help.
Reinstalling helped for a little while but the issue returned.
When I came home from my walk, flowerplanting worked again.
I walked over 18000 steps and all the time flowerplanting. Only 7000 flowers. Missed out on nectar and coins.
I’ve been having this same problem as well for the last month or so - planting will sometimes just stop when my phone is in my pocket, and not resume again until I open it to check progress. The map of planting you get at the end has a bunch of gaps in it. The worst day was walking 1500 steps with only 62 planted.
Hoping there is a resolution at some point.
