I bought the special mission thinking my missing mahjong tiles would be selectable, and it is not!
It was unclear what the available tiles are. I assumed that my missing tile would be included because it showed up as yellow in the decor’s collection list, rather than ghosted out.
Because the mission description didn’t list the available choices I feel cheated. Also I’m unable to continue playing the game until I redeem the seedling, which I have not done yet, so I cannot even submit feedback thru the app’s support until I pick an unwanted tile.
Please provide me with a satisfactory resolution.

As you can see from the checkmarks, I already have the tiles and I did click on the color I want and didn’t see my tile there.

That is very disappointing! Did you contact in app support? That sounds like an error, no way that can be right.
I have the exact same problem. I can’t select select the Pikmin I require and there’s no way past this.
I submitted issue in app support and asked them to pass to engineering my request to improve the mechanics and the description. Basically, display whether the user already has all the available pikmin in the special mission, before they purchase the mission. Support replied they would pass the msg along. I didn’t get anything else from them.
Lesson learned. I will not be purchasing any special event tickets going forward unless I’m absolutely certain of what I’m getting. I shouldn’t have to go online elsewhere to do research. Hopefully they improve the description in the short term and improve the mechanics soon.
The mechanics might be easier than the description. I’m not sure how one would describe the tiles without displaying pictures so people unfamiliar with mahjong would understand though. Same for Hanafuda cards… I’ve released the wrong mahjong or Hanafuda tile in the past due to poor eyesight and inability to read the characters
