In the ongoing event celebrating the release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, a bug has been identified where Movie Theater (Popcorn) seedlings may not be found using the Detector, even when “Movie Theater (Popcorn)” is displayed in the “Places Nearby” list. This issue was resolved on April 27 at approximately 7:00 UTC, and compensation was distributed on April 28 UTC.
However, we discovered that an excessive number of detectors were inadvertently granted during this compensation process. Consequently, we have deducted the excess amount of detectors from affected users’ inventory today, May 1st. Users affected by this deduction have been notified individually via a pop-up dialog on the home screen.
We sincerely apologize again for the inconvenience caused.
Additionally, we plan to grant all users 5 detectors along with improvements to the event. For more details, please refer to the in-app news that will be released shortly.
[Final Compensation Details]
Eligible Users: All users who used a detector near a “Movie Theater” location between the start of the event and the bug fix on April 27, 7:00 UTC.
Compensation Content:
-
1 Gold Seedling (Movie Theater category)
-
An amount of paid detectors equal to the number of paid detectors used near “Movie Theater (Popcorn)” locations between the start of the event and the bug fix.
Important Notes:
-
Due to a technical error in the compensation process, some users received more detectors than intended. The excess has been corrected, and the compensation criteria above reflect the intended compensation.
-
The number of detectors deducted varies per user. The actual number deducted is stated in the dialog displayed on your home screen.
-
If the incorrectly granted detectors have already been used, we have removed the remaining balance from your inventory.
-
Please note that the deduction amount is calculated and fixed at the start of the process, but it may take a few minutes for it to appear in the app.
