[Resolved] Regarding Party Walk issues with the September 3, 2025 update

Description:

Regarding the Party Walk feature updated on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 0:00 AM (UTC), the following bugs have occurred:

  • For Party Walks created before the update, the function “Show in ‘Recommended’ for participants’ friends” is enabled by default for both organizers and participants.

    • As described later, this setting cannot be turned off by the organizer afterwards, but the setting item is displayed, and tapping it does not change the setting.
  • Among the Party Walks displayed in “Recommended,” the banner “[Friend’s Name] Invited you!” is displayed at the top of the participation confirmation dialog even when you have not been directly invited by your friends.

Also, the below announcement contained incorrect information regarding the function “Show in ‘Recommended’ for participants’ friends” as follows:

Incorrect:
By tapping the 3 dots at the corner of a Party Walk screen, users will have the ability to remove any Party Walk they’re participating in from being shown in their friends’ “Recommended” section.

Correct:
By tapping the 3 dots at the corner of a Party Walk screen, users will have the ability to remove any Party Walk they’re participating in from being shown in their friends’ “Recommended” section.
However, the organizer cannot turn off the setting afterwards.

Status:

For Party Walks you are organizing that were created before Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 9:00 AM (Japan time), if you wish to cancel or disable the “Show in ‘Recommended’ for participants’ friends” function, please contact us via the app.

Other issues is fixed as follows:

  • The “Show in ‘Recommended’ for participants’ friends” setting will be removed from the settings displayed after the organizer taps the three dots in the corner of the Party Walk screen.

  • Among the Party Walks displayed in “Recommended,” the banner “[Friend’s Name] Invited you!” will only be displayed at the top if a friend has directly invited.
