Hi I would like to submit a feedback. We are seeing more active players in Singapore and thanks to the update of more mushrooms. There are more game options for us in Singapore.
However, there are some pikmin decor that is unable to be found in Singapore such as the shine decor as well as the mountain decor.
For the shrine decor Singapore doesn’t have any shrine but we do have a lot of temples. I’m making a suggestion for temples to be included as part of the shrine decor as well.

Many countries don’t have shrines, in fact, I’d guess most countries don’t

Shrines are facilities dedicated to Shinto, a religion unique to Japan; consequently, you likely won’t find them outside Japan.
Temples, on the other hand, are Buddhist facilities, so I imagine they exist in other countries as well.
Since the decor category covers both shrine and temple, it stands to reason that you could potentially obtain them outside Japan. However, with 35 different types to collect, it’s quite a challenge.

First of all, I think adding church or mosque category decor Pikmins is “the fairest” way for these geographic/religious-specific decors… I kind of see them like those regional-exclusive Pokemons in PoGo, but it is indeed kind of unfair only Japan has them…
As for allowing players to obtain Shrine decor Pikmins outside of Japan I can see some possibilities with oversea Shintos. There are a few oversea Shintos with just a quick google search, especially in places that was colonized by Japan like Taiwan and South Korea. Though many have been turned into something else or demolished, but some are still pretty well-preserved.
As for mountain or sea decor Pikmins… Every player has their own trouble looking for them depends where they live. The game simply encourages you to go out and visit somewhere new and explore…

Japan is tolerant of religion; alongside shrines and temples, there are many churches and mosques. While many Japanese people turn to Shinto or Buddhist rites for weddings and funerals, hardly anyone lives their daily lives according to the precepts of these religions or engages in regular prayer.
I myself graduated from a Christian university and held my wedding in a church, yet I have never been baptized.
In other countries, people tend to be quite sensitive about religion, don’t they? I suspect this is the reason why “shrine and temple” decorations haven’t been implemented outside of Japan—what do you think?

I agree with you. It is a delicate topic, even though it really shouldn’t be. I believe most people are spiritual in some form or another. But even if not, temples, shrines, mosques, and churches are beautiful in their own right, and it would be nice to be able to collect the Pikmin just for the adventure of exploring.

@lavista1960 where I live we don’t have shrines or temples of any kind only churches and (very few) mosques.
@robert2331177 yes! adding churches & mosques to the Shrine and Temple category would make a lot of sense!

Used to live in a small town in southern Ontario and there are many churches like in almost every block.. There are few mosques and very few temples, no Shrines. Then moved to Vancouver where it basically has almost everything. I myself don’t visit any of them… I only walk by to bloom Big Flowers or spin the Pokestops. But when traveling, I believe like most people, I’d visit those religious places to look at the architectures/sculptures/carvings or simply take pictures like a tourist.
I don’t think many players would complain receiving Shrine & Temple decors from their local religious buildings… In fact, saw many posts on Reddit with new players asking why they couldn’t get them after visiting their local churches…
The only way for players outside of Japan to obtain them is to either buy a kimono from the shop or visiting Japan. (And a one-time special seeding from the mini walk in LA, Little Tokyo in April.)
Maybe because the majority Pikmin Bloom players were Japanese at that time so they decided to add this decor category… but if the game decided to create a decor category based on a religion and its related structures/locations, I think it would only be fair if everyone has the same chance of encountering them around the world with corresponding religious decors…
Niantic Wayfarer has a very detailed Religious Building list that includes many categories for reviewing/labeling a Wayspot. Since most of those religious buildings have already been added as a Wayspot in Ingress/PoGo, Pikmin Bloom can also pull the data from there for corresponding decor if they were to implement religious decors around the world.
Of course, all the above rambling are just my two cents. I’ve already given up the idea of finishing collecting every decor category long time ago. (Looking at the ridiculous amount in not just Shrine & Temple, but also the flower cards/playing cards/Mahjong tiles…) I see the Shrine & Temple decor as something to look forward to if I ever plan to visit Japan sometime in the future.
