I only have 2 blue camellia petals and will need alot for stage 4, so will need to battle some blue or water mushrooms and/or plant white camellias and hope they bloom as blue.
The party hat rewards could have used more distinct variations. Also these hats are dated and will not get much use by my mii. I’ll probably use them at the end of this year if at all. Looking forward to earning the funny glasses though.
The costume rewards in previous ornament event were very good in my opinion.
I just finished a 4* normal water mushroom battle, and all I got out of it was 14 blue Cattleya which I don’t need, regular blue nectar, and no blue camellia which I really need. Now I’m in another water battle and hope to get blue camellias.
Maybe I’m better off doing blue mushrooms. Otherwise I’ll have to do several laps around a big camellia flower that I cultivate…
I’m on stage 4-2 and have 55 blue camellia petals which supposedly yields 900 flowers, well short of the 2000 flowers required for stage 4-4. In not planning on running, biking, or other transportation to try to boost my flower production.
Still need the blue party Popper to complete my set.

Also, blue/purple mushrooms would have produced better fruit than water mushrooms.
If you ignore free coins (with a formation of 40 Pikmin), planting for 8 seconds → enough movement (walking 36m or more) will allow you to plant about 30-36 flowers per petal, so with 55 petals, you can plant about 1650 flowers.
I managed to get enough blue camellia petals over the weekend from a water mushroom, big flower (white camellia petals+ a few blue petals) and a giant mystery mushroom. I failed to get any blue camellia petals from different water mushroom, small blue mushroom, and another large flower attempt, so I feel lucky.
I have 149 petals which is supposedly enough for 2500 flowers, so I should be able to complete stage 4-4 today and advance through stage 5.
Finally got the blue party Popper Pikmin near the end of stage 7-4 and completed the set! That took longer than usual, probably due to the competition with the flower card pikmin rewards.
In case anyone is wondering, it took this long to complete the set without purchasing any special missions. I’m generally too stingy to purchase mission tickets.

I have 21 party Popper pikmin. The blue was #19
I’ve stopped counting flower cards since I’ve started releasing the dups to free up storage.
Generally, I also don’t purchase tickets while an event is in progress, and I don’t double seedlings I get on the roulette.
But if I don’t get a complete decor set at the end of the event, I might purchase a ticket then.
I haven’t used any in-game coins recently, and I have over 17,000 coins right now.
I have around 5k. I rarely spend, except for the occasional clothing or storage. I don’t double up on the roulette either, but lately I’ve been thinking that if I’m offered a mushroom ticket, that I should double it because I think it is cheaper than buying from the store. But I rarely get the mushroom ticket and always forget.
Now I’m in another water battle and hope to get blue camellias.
