I was able to get 4-5 roadside seedlings every day.
I could have actually completed sooner, but I was waiting for the Coin decor of winged pikmin to return from Spain, so I completed it at this timing.
Nice! I’m still working on roadside coins. 2 more to go.
Finally finished rare coins. It was a lot of work!
Released a bunch of roadside pikmin and seedlings since I reached my quota. Can focus on other rare decor seedling that have been gathering dust.

I’m so disappointed the rare clover and four-leaf clover count towards the same experience accumulation. I had a feeling that’s how it was going to be, but it’s still disappointing. Just to get the 7th/8th rare in a category takes so long, it’s going to take forever to collect them all. I can’t wait to see how long it takes you to get them all, @lavista1960. Show us how it’s done!
I think I could eventually achieve it if I took my time (maybe around 120 days?), but… the current rare decor system isn’t fun at all. It feels like a chore.

The recently added feature where Pikmin bring postcards when returning from retrieving their decor is nice. I like that Pikmin I didn’t take the time to get decor are now bringing postcards back from different places I’ve been. Luckily I’ve kept them, but I know a lot of people probably would’ve discarded a lot of Pikmin like this for space. I also love postcards, but know others feel like they don’t have the space for those also.
I learned back in August, when @lavista1960 shared their collection, there are rare for supermarket decor. I found a good spot to use my detector, so now I have 27 supermarket seedlings, but not the last two I need 
. At least you can tell if it’s mushroom or banana when it’s still a seedling. Remember when you didn’t know until you plucked them? I am curious, does anyone know if you can only get certain colors/types at certain locations? I am guessing not, but if were the case that would be nice to know. Super excited to clear out my inventory once I do get those last two, just have to continue to be patient…
Unfortunately, as you suspect, there is no place where you can get seedlings of a specific color/type.
You will have to get as many seedlings as possible using detectors, life logs, or through natural occurrences, and then select from among them.

When Korean Restaurant Deco was first introduced, there were very few places where you could obtain them, but I once discovered a location where “using a detector would always reveal kimchi.”
※Locations where items are guaranteed to appear are extremely rare and valuable.
Later, Korean Restaurant Deco became capable of yielding all eight Pikmin colors, and since I have already collected every color at that location, I am certain that “you won’t always only find one specific color.”

How’s everyone’s progress on rare park decor? I just reached level 5. I decided to promote my 4-leaf clover pikmin first. I still haven’t found an ice 4-leaf yet. So I’ll start promoting ryb if I don’t find ice before the next level is reached. And while I like to have one of each unique Pikmin, it doesn’t bother me to no longer have a normal 4-leaf pikmin after the promotion. If I get another 4-leaf, them I’ll keep it.

I’m in Italy since April 26th, so stopping progress.

@lavista1960 that’s awesome! @KippyPippy I’m also missing ice four leaf clover hopefully it won’t take months and months to find like my previous “last” four leaf clover pikmin..
