It seems like it keeps getting more difficult to get rare decor in a single level, when I feel each pikmin type in the same decor category should require the same level of effort. Makes me feel unmotivated.
Heart nectar can be useful if you dont travel, in my case I dont expect to travel this year (and already have 400+ heart nectar), I use heart nectar every time I want to level up one of the rare categories.
For travels it’s better keep them and use in new decors, not rare ones.
Expeditions it’s good, but it only give 1 point.
Mushrooms it’s 3 points but the pikmin have to stay for hours.
Feeding during the day it’s recommended (if you only feed 5 times in 2 hours you can feed again) You can see how many times you have feed them by picking a pikmin in garden.
Some people only feed 5 times, wait the feed reset (usually 2 hours), pick the petals and feed again 5 times.
Or if you walk a lot, bare them and wait for bud to bare them again.
Feed gives 1 point, except in the 5th feeding that gives 10 more. It’s the best source for friendship because it only use nectar.
Rare decors it’s a mechanic for a long time, giving another reason for keeping decors that you already have complete, dont need to rush.
Yes, I feed nectar 5 times for every 2 hours, then pikmin ready to wearing decor within a day or two days.
However most important thing is how to get seedlings for rare decor categolies. I am walking river side so I can 4, 5, or 6 waterside seedlings everyday.
But I don’t have any idea to get seedlings of hair salon and Bakery (T_T)
Yeah, I’m not going out of my way for these. I only feed these pikmin about 3 times a day and they are lucky if they get 4 servings of nectar per feeding.
I know that this decor isn’t “rare”, technically, but for me it is. I’ve been walking by a Korean restaurant almost everyday since they announced the kimchi decor without getting a seedling until today so I am very excited.
It seems that Kimchi decor seedlings have become more common recently, and seedlings are now available at my local Korean restaurant, where they didn’t initially show up on my detector.
I finally completed the rare waterside decor, nearly a year after creating this post. Can’t say I’m a fan of collecting the rare decor, but I feel strangely compelled to do so…
It is hard to differentiate the rare from non rare, due to my eyesight. The sparkles don’t stand out that much, nor the gold color, hidden behind their body. At least the other rare decor categories use more visible colors and or embellishments.
Hopefully I don’t release any of these by accident!
