From yesterday some new players suddenly popped out (I found 4 this morning) in my area. They were sitting in only small mushrooms, alone/with lower than like 10 strenth/didn’t invite friends. It shows each mushroom will take 10~20 days to finish…
And I found they took even more mushrooms this morning after unbattled mushrooms’ update from yesterday evening, each of them took 2~5 small mushrooms…I guess it’s 6/each, didn’t go so far to check them all out, so now there are like more than 20 small mushrooms sitting in my area with only one player inside. It means soon I won’t get any event mushrooms but only small ones around me?
This is really rediculous, I reported, but, is Scopely going to do anything with it???
attached with a photo I saw this morning when I started the game, full of spoofers, none is local
It looks like this in my city (check the photos) at like 8:30 this morning…giant mushrooms are all full from during the night while all locals were sleeping.
It seems like those 5 or 6 new spoofers came to take small mushrooms few days ago is kind of strategy or what to make sure other mushrooms will be giant or elements mushrooms after update, and yes, now we locals could only get small mushrooms , guess I will need to uninstall this game very soon.
Hey I don’t seem to be allowed to post this as it’s own post so, I apologize for tagging onto yours.
Has anyone tried to organize a worldwide boycott of PB? We did this in Pokemon Go when Niantic was jerking us around hard a 4 or 5 years ago and actually got their attention.
Can I even get away with posting this here I wonder?
It’d be a lot to organize but might be worth a shot. I will be reaching out to the mods of PB Reddit to see if we can get them to let us talk about how this is ruining the game again.
I’m throwing in the towel anyway. This is insane. These losers are ruining a cute game about walking on a massive scale, and the developer is blatantly ignoring the issue.
I wrote a few of the bigger game news groups to see if I could get some coverage. We’ll see.
Those dummy accounts started to take Giant Mushrooms today, and now they are not solo in those mushrooms anymore……. there are now 5 players (1 from those dummies, 4 are higher level) in the mushroom nearby and one of them with traditional Chinese name.
Those are bots, not just random players. Check out my post. It’s the exact same pattern. Seriously, where the hell are Scopely and Nintendo on this?!
The people running this bot service are actually charging players NT$60 per person, PER WEEK! They claim these are just “other players,” but come on, who burns one of their free mushroom attempts AND a bullhorn to invite a total stranger, then immediately leaves?!
They don’t even stick around to finish the battle. They just get the person in and disappear. And we’re supposed to believe this is just normal players helping each other out? That’s bullshit.
Hey, I would like to encourage you (and anyone/everyone else here who has the time) to write GameRant, Game Spot, Game informer, VGC, IGN, etc.
I’m just starting to do this myself and the more of us getting loud about it the better.
Just copy paste and hit up as many as you can. You’re organized and clear in your posts here and obviously Scopely isn’t going to do anything about it, even though we’re discussing it openly on their platform.
Just a thought from another frustrated AF guy trying to play a game about walking.
This concerns the rules of Pikmin.
As long as the mushrooms are eliminated after October, the progress will be counted towards the October task.
Therefore, some cheaters will start doing this after Pikmin finishes collecting all the items this month.
The second person to enter the mushroomcould be a player specifically sabotage this operation.
But they weren’t good people either; they just wanted to undermine the mentality of the first type of person.
nah, no 2nd player, solo to the end for small mushrooms , all of them…..there are like at least 10 accounts or more are doing so, and those small mushrooms from my screenshots were finished already, not for next month, now it’s like 2 or 3 of them together in a few normal or giant mushrooms or still solo in small ones
They seriously needs to add a GPS speed cap/teleport lock like they have in Pokémon GO and Ingress. There’s already one similar detection in planting flowers, why can’t they add one to battle. Maybe also a minimum battle power requirement when joining battle.
With web-based mushroom map trackers available now, spoofers are just camping these maps and teleporting to new giant mushroom spawns instantly. I was in rural Japan last week, and even there, giant mushrooms still filled up in under 30 seconds.
It makes zero sense that players physically walking around are getting squeezed out by people teleporting across continents. A basic speed limit feature would solve at least some of this.
Saw more mushrooms (small/normal/giant) with those dummy accounts sitting in…also could see other users joined them and more chinese names showed up…and I found someone planted flowers by drawing circles!!!
As well as this, I suggest people complain to Nintendo, stating that Pikmin Bloom is a horrible introduction to one of their IPs for people new to Pikmin games.
I doubt that Niantic/Scopley cares at all, but Nintendo might care if they see one of their IPs being associated with a horrible experience.
In my region (AUNZ) I have a contact web form to give feedback to Nintendo, not entirely sure what its like for other regions but perhaps people want to give it a look/try?
