EDIT: For anyone experiencing similar behavior,
I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it appears to have corrected the issue, including giving me credit for necessary steps and missions.
My steps are not being counted as of 01 January, 2025. Opening the app in the evening revealed a step count of 0. Steps are shown and recognized on the map, but the overall summary for the day shows 0. I restarted the app and restarted my phone. Lifelog update had to be done manually. There were no unreviewed logs for 01 Jan, so I tried manual review to see if that would recognize the steps.
Made sure app is up to date. Battery Saver mode is not on. Also verified that my fitness apps are linked properly. I did have an issue where Google Fit’s step count dropped from ~4700 to 0 after launching Pikmin in the evening. Google Fit has since caught back up and is recognizing steps from 01 Jan.
As I write this, Pikmin Bloom shows 0 steps for 02 January while Google Fit and Samsung Health both show 54.
Frustrated that I currently only have 19 steps registered toward the first portion of Stage 1 for the January challenge.
Device is Samsung Galaxy S22 running Android version 14 and OneUI version 6.1. This is the current update and was installed on 25 Dec.
