I’m starting this event with 10 classic ice cream pikmin saved from last year. Together with my other pikmin, this gives me a strength of around 3k in my first bizarre battle.
I’m missing the classic white pikmin and hope to complete the collection this time around. Hope to collect all the new ice cream decor as well.
I also have 21 mahjong pikmin and missing two from the collection. If they don’t have extra strength in battles I will release the duplicates too. Would be nice to complete the collection but I’m not feeling optimistic.
Basically, I only keep one pikmin for each decor (there are many exceptions), so I only have 7 classic ice cream pikmin.
But I am not goint to clash bizarre mushroom until mahjoing event starts, so no problem.
I now cleared stage 2-3 and got 4 2024 ice cream pikmin.

The only two mahjong pikmin I’ve received so far were from weekly step/plant challenges I think.
As for the state of my mahjong decor Pikmin,
I got 6 seedlings from the weekly challenge (2) and mushrooms (4).
First one is the new decor of white pikmin (二萬) but, next 4s are also white pikmin (伍萬/二萬/二萬/二萬)!!!

Today, I got wings pikmin of 八萬, so I got two new decor mahjong pikmin now.
37 mahjong pikmin, I only need one more, the new #7 rock pikmin
I have two giant mahjong seedlings, hoping one of them is the pikmin I need. Or maybe I will get it in one of this week’s challenges.
I finished the classic ice cream Pikmin last night. I was lucky since it’s my first year playing and I got them all with only one extra.
Just need one pink to finish the 2024 Pikmin. I’ve done over 20 pulls. Send help
The farewell party was attended by 45 ice cream pikmin and 27 mah jong pikmin.
There was an open bar serving flower dew. A few attendees overindulged and had to be escorted out by winged pikmin. Overall it was a happy occasion and the attendees were eager to start their new journey.
PostScript: it was later discovered that a purple mahjong Pikmin who was not supposed to be released, had snuck into the party and departed with the group. They will be missed.
