Combat is needed, but in a balanced way

So theres a bunch of posts about being able to fight various enemies, the possibilities here are endless, however it would be no good if you send 40 of your hard earned Pikmin into a fight, only to be devoured in moments, leaving you with 40 Pikmin less than you had, not to mention losing decor and rare decor pikmin.

There are many ways this can be balanced so that we dont lose our collections, i keep thinking about the first 5 red pikmin that Olimar encounters at the beginning of Pikmin 2, where they are immortal and the pikmin will hack away at the bulborb forever until you intervene and send them back into the fight.

Pikmin bloom already breaks a bunch of rules from the standard franchise, such as different petals on their heads, and the purple pikmin only carrying a weight of 3 instead of 10 ect. So i dont think it would be far fetched to introduce a stamina system to the pikmin sent into battles. For example, a pikmin with a basic flower has 5 stamina points, depicted by the 5 petals on the flower, so when a pikmin is chomped/shaken off, they will lose a stamina point, and visually they could lose 1 of thier 5 petals, once all petals/stamina is depleted, they could simply “run away” from the battle, returning to your planter pack to recover after some time, this way we would never permanatly lose a Pikmin semt into battle, it would be a good idea to be able to swipe left or right in the planter pack to open the “Rejuvination pack” whick pikmin could either recover after some time, or after a certain amount of steps. Other flowers could grant increased stamina also, like a parrot tulip having 7 or 8 stamina points, or providing more damage or somthing.

Ive been mulling this over in my head for a time now and think this would really open up the game and make it much more playable for those who want more than simply collecting decor sets and repeating the same event missions over and over.

Im not bored with the game i love it for what it is, but it could be so much more. What do other people think here? Does this sound like a good idea that could get some traction?? This obviously would be a massive addition to the game, requiring a good amount of development and testing ect, naturally Niantic could sell various boosts or baits/lures much like the radar detector, not to memtion spicing up the monthly event missions, “defeat 3 bulborbs” ect.

Lets get talking about this, if it was to ever happen it needs to be talked about, so i hope others will see this and support somthing like this

I agree to this. I would like more variety than just bigger mushrooms. But, some more hardcore battle could be fun too. The cap of pikmin is 300 and you can easily get there. It would be interesting that the pikmin could end up dying too. It would help to balance when you get too big number of pikmin( and you are stuck at the cap number). Of course it would need some kind of warning that battle could kill the pikmin. and those battle could be like lvl 30 and over. About the pikmin deco, you just dont send to battle or if they are very rare, they could be immortal or a way to bring them back to life.

Yes, like a large Bulborb might have 600k health, like the mushrooms, and they would work pretty much the same

yea, and maybe some dangerous boss like the pikmin game would be more challenging ^^

Yes much like the event mushrooms, its just a good idea and would give the game much more variety

I wouldn’t mind sending my duplicates at the end of an event to battle a monster with the possibility of casualties. Is this too cruel? :beetle::bug::lady_beetle:
