Estimated time remaining in mushroom battle

When choosing Pikmin to send to a mushroom battle, the estimated time remaining increases even though the total strength score is increasing.

  • I haven’t sent them into the battle, so I don’t know if the calculation will change if I join.
  • The player inviting me is in JST, where it’s March 1st, but I am in EST, where it’s February 28th, so different events are active.
  • This persisted after closing and reopening the app.

It’s because you are in another event wait until tomorrow and it will be normal again.

This is exactly the same issue I came across last month. I received a bullhorn from a friend in Japan (already 1 Feb, but where I live still 31 Jan). When I selected my pikmin, the remaining time increased while the strengths increased. I contacted the support to report this issue, and their answer was this was due to the time difference. I copied and pasted the text below (mushroom type/reward are different) and pointed out that this wouldn’t be a “help” if by my joining, the time required to destroy the mushroom increases. I asked them to pass my comment to the development team, but am disappointed that nothing has changed since.

*If you receive a call via a Mushroom Battle Bullhorn to a Verdant Mushroom before the event has started in your timezone, you will be able to join the battle and help destroy the mushroom. The Mystery Box you receive as a reward will be the one for the Festival of Colors Event.
