Since the update, I find that I don’t always get a fruit from blooming a flower. It has made my progress slower in the challenges because it is sometimes nectar I need, and I keep running out of nectar to feed my pikmin. Is this happening to anyone else? Is that supposed to happen?
Fruit does not appear when you make a Big Flower bloom, but when you plant flowers after it has bloomed. Therefore, if you stop planting flowers immediately after the Big Flower blooms, or if you move outside the flower-planting area immediately after it blooms, no fruit will appear.
Another factor is that if you give fruit that appears from a Big Flower to a Pikmin without collecting it, no fruit will appear from that Big Flower even if you make the same Big Flower bloom. Fruit will appear if you collect the fruit that is being held by a Pikmin and plant it within the flower-planting area of the Big Flower within an hour of it blooming.
